Welcome to East Africa Safaris. By booking a safari or using our website, you agree to the following Terms &Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Booking Confirmation
A safari reservation is considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received and writtenconfirmation has been provided by East Africa Safaris.
Bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation, including accommodations, transportation,and gorilla or chimpanzee permits.
2. Payments
Deposit and payment requirements may vary depending on the safari itinerary, travel dates, and supplierrequirements.
Final payment is generally due prior to departure. Payment instructions and deadlines will be providedduring the booking process.
Certain services, including gorilla permits and some accommodations, may require full prepayment andmay be non-refundable once secured.
3. Pricing
All prices are subject to availability and may change without notice prior to booking confirmation.
Pricing may be affected by:
- Government tax changes
- Park fee increases
- Gorilla or chimpanzee permit increases
- Fuel surcharges
- Currency fluctuations
- Supplier pricing adjustments
Once a safari has been confirmed and paid according to agreed terms, East Africa Safaris will honor theconfirmed pricing except in cases of significant government-imposed changes beyond our control.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
Refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation and the policies of lodges, airlines, permitauthorities, and other suppliers involved in the safari.
Please note:
- Gorilla permits are generally non-refundable once purchased.
- Some accommodations and services may carry cancellation penalties.
- Processing fees and banking charges may be non-refundable.
Any applicable refunds will be processed after funds are received back from suppliers where applicable.
5. Changes to Itineraries
East Africa Safaris reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, routes, transportation, oractivities when necessary due to:
- Weather conditions
- Road conditions
- Wildlife movement
- Government regulations
- Safety concerns
- Political situations
- Supplier availability
- Circumstances beyond our control
In such cases, reasonable alternatives of similar standard will be arranged whenever possible.
6. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements forthe countries visited.
Visa regulations and health requirements may change without notice. We recommend checking officialgovernment sources prior to travel.
East Africa Safaris may provide general guidance, but final responsibility remains with the traveler.
7. Health & Fitness
Certain safari activities, including gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking, may require moderate physicalfitness and the ability to walk on uneven terrain for extended periods.
Travelers are responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of participating in plannedactivities.
Guests should inform East Africa Safaris of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, mobility concerns,or special needs prior to travel.
8. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers.
Insurance should ideally cover:
- Medical emergencies
- Emergency evacuation
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Flight delays
- Lost baggage
- Personal injury
- Travel disruptions
East Africa Safaris is not responsible for costs arising from uninsured travel situations.
9. Responsibility & Liability
East Africa Safaris acts as an intermediary between travelers and independent suppliers including lodges,airlines, transportation providers, guides, and national parks.
While we make every effort to provide safe and enjoyable safari experiences, East Africa Safaris shall not beliable for:
- Injury
- Illness
- Loss
- Damage
- Delays
- Accidents
- Flight disruptions
- Political unrest
- Natural disasters
- Wildlife incidents
- Theft
- Force majeure events
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks associated with travel and wildlife environments.
10. Force Majeure
East Africa Safaris shall not be held responsible for failure or delay in performing obligations due to eventsbeyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics
- War or civil unrest
- Government restrictions
- Airline disruptions
- Border closures
- Strikes
- Severe weather
11. Photography & Marketing
During safari experiences, photographs or videos may occasionally be captured for promotional ormarketing purposes.
Guests who prefer not to appear in promotional materials may notify us in writing.
12. Website Information
We strive to ensure the accuracy of information presented on our website. However, descriptions,availability, pricing, and itinerary details may occasionally change or contain errors.
East Africa Safaris reserves the right to correct inaccuracies at any time.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations relevant to the operation ofEast Africa Safaris and its safari services.
